Home ownership in Switzerland: purchase intentions and budget expectations

The latest data from the MACH Consumer study by WEMF shows how many Swiss people plan to purchase their own home in the next twelve months and what budget they have set aside to do so. Young adults, families and people with higher incomes are particularly interested in buying. While slightly more than half of prospective buyers would spend up to CHF 1 million on their own home, around a quarter have a budget of between CHF 1 million and CHF 2 million.
