The MA Net enables evaluations of the distribution (proportion of online and offline users) and intensity of use of the internet as a whole. The usage data can be cross-referenced with various socio-demographic and geographical data. The following examples illustrate various evaluation options.
More and more pensioners are surfing the Internet
Internet usage among the over-65s has risen over the last four years. In 2026, 78.8% of pensioners will be active on the internet. In 2022, the figure was only 71.6%.
Tablets popular among 30- to 59-year-olds
Tablet PCs are most commonly used in Switzerland by 40- to 49-year-olds. Tablet users often have a high level of education and work in management positions. Women use tablets slightly more often than men.
