Print and Online for Greater Reach
MACH Total Audience 2023-2 was published today. The figures show that news brands gain significantly in reach if they offer their publication in print as well as online. This is because only a small number of Swiss people regularly use a media brand on both channels.
The combined brand reach of Swiss media is significantly higher than the reach of individual print or online channels. As the latest figures show, on average only 10 % of Swiss people make daily use of both the print and online offerings of the media brands in the study. By contrast, far more have a clear favorite channel for their preferred news brand: either print or online. A total of 4.6 million people use one of the media brands in the study on a daily basis, either in the form of the print edition or the online offering.
